The ability to directly link product meta fields to product options is a major improvement that Shopify just made to its product management system. By connecting choices to category meta fields, merchants were able to reuse option values across similar products within a category. This innovation expands on that capabilities. Connect a variant to a product or category metafield Steps: Desktop From your Shopify admin, go to Products Click the product that you want to edit In the Variants section, click + Add options like size or color If a compatible category or product metafield is available to connect to, then select it. The option values are automatically filled with any entries you have added to the metafield.
